DjinniAromaBattle

Aroma when used in battle.

Jupiter djinn Aroma is a Jupiter Djinni found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age, and is numerically the fourteenth Jupiter Djinni in the games' official Djinni ordering and thus the seventh numbered Jupiter Djinni of The Lost Age.

Location[]

DjinniAromaOverworld

Aroma is reached by Moving the earth pillar left to where it is pictured, so that it can be hopped across.

Aroma is located in Shaman Village. First of all, it can only be obtained after Trial Road is cleared because one of the buildings you need to go through is only unlocked for you then. After Trial Road, enter the cubic building built into the side of a rocky ledge to the lower right of the main town area, and come out of its top door and go right to the next screen. Position yourself below an earth pillar and cast Move to move it left one space so that it falls down to create a hoppable piece. Return to the main town, enter Moapa's house, exit out of the bottom door, cast Lash on the coiled rope, and the subsequent path will lead you to where you can hop across the earth pillar and claim Aroma.

Description[]

When Set, it increases base HP by 11, base Agility by 3, and base Luck by 2.

When Aroma's battle effect is used, a holographic image of a Jupiter Djinni surrounds the entire party in a sort of swirling purple, line-like energy, replenishing the PP meters of all current battling Adepts by 10% of their respective maximum PP meters. A Mars Djinni in The Lost Age, Ember, is an inferior version of this effect, restoring PP by 7% instead of 10%

Ability analysis[]

Aroma can be said to be to the Jupiter Djinni Ether what the Wish Psynergy series is to the Ply Psynergy series - PP recovery that is spread out over multiple Adepts for smaller figures. The 10% figure may not seem like much, but it is an improvement over the previous game's Ember and its 7%, and when The Lost Age is at its endgame and party levels and statistics are very high, Aroma does restore somewhat respectable numbers by recovering a high-level Psynergy's worth of PP to all Adepts. Aroma would certainly obsolete Ember once Isaac's party joins late in The Lost Age bringing that Djinni along with them. In a dungeon, when there is no Psynergy stone in sight and the party is low on PP, one can use a random battle or two to have the user use Aroma to refill everyone's PP, and Set Aroma back right after the end of the battle.
