The Blow Mace is a Mace-class weapon found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is found in a treasure chest in an underground area within the Yampi Desert. Being a Mace, it can be equipped by Isaac, Felix, Garet, Sheba, Mia, and Piers. Its buy value is 2800 coins and its sell value is 2100.

The Blow Mace increases the wielder's attack by 45. The Blow Mace's Unleash effect is Boost Hack, which is effectively a standard physical attack that adds 17 damage points and then modifies the resulting damage based on the user's Mars power and the target's Mars resistance. Boost Hack visually resembles the user attacking the air in front of him/her, and a large red image of a cutting swath of energy flashes across the screen. This basically resembles a red palette swap of the Elven Rapier unleash sans the black screen.

The Blow Mace is stronger than any other weapon you could possibly have before the early point in The Lost Age when you can first find this in its chest. Both Felix and Sheba can equip it; Since at the early stage of the game you should not use Sheba for physically attacking, but rather for using area-of-effect Psynergy, this should probably be equipped by Felix even if he already has Themis' Axe, to promote the relev

ancy of his physical attack strikes in battles. Since shortly after Yampi Desert is Air's Rock, though, which contains the more powerful Storm Brand, it can be appropriately distributed to Sheba later, but rather quickly.

There are actually two weapons stronger than the Blow Mace that you can acquire for Felix and Sheba before Yampi Desert - the Blessed Ankh and Broad Axe you can buy in Mikasalla. Mikasalla is a little bit out of the way, but it doesn't take long at all to head there for these weapons and then backtrack back to Yampi Desert. The Blessed Ankh does one more point of damage than the Blow Mace and it's Jupiter alignment makes it a far better weapon choice for Sheba than this. The Broad Axe, however, is just a regular weapon, and while it does 5 more points of damage than the Blow Mace, many players will likely prefer the Blow Mace for it's extra Unleash effect for Felix.
