A Bronze Helm is a Helm-class headwear available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold in armor vendors at Kolima, Xian, and Altin in Golden Sun and at Mikasalla and Naribwe in The Lost Age. This helm can be equipped on all warrior-style Adepts in both games, namely Isaac and Garet in the first game, together with Felix and Piers in the second, and is in fact Piers' initial equipment in the second game. It increases the equipped Adept's base Defense rating by 14 points. Its buy value is 600 coins and its sell value is 450 coins. Interestingly, it is one of two items whose graphic is changed in between the two games (the other being the Bronze Shield).

In Golden Sun when the Bronze Helm can be first bought in Kolima after it is returned to normal, it is a solid replacement for the Open Helms and Wooden Caps Isaac and Garet might be wearing, and since at that point you will probably have a good stockpile of cash from your previous activities at Mercury Lighthouse, you should be able to buy the two Bronze Helms and two Armlets for Ivan and Mia.

In The Lost Age, the Bronze Helm is effectively available for purchase at Mikasalla as soon as Felix's party first enters Osenia. A Bronze Helm would be an extremely strong and practical replacement for what Felix could only possibly be wearing on his head, a mere Leather Cap. All the equipment at Mikasalla is very strong and better than the equipment sold at the other two towns on Osenia's western portion, Alhafra and Garoh, so hopefully you will have come across enough money to cover the payment for at least most of the items. When Piers joins the party equipped with the Bronze Helm later on, after clearing the Gabomba Statue dungeon with him you can buy a stronger Iron Helm for him in Kibombo.
