A Comet Mace is a Mace-class weapon found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is obtained by bringing a Star Dust forgeable material to Sunshine the blacksmith in Yallam, where he will randomly forge it into either that or several other items, and then buying it from him. Being a Mace, it can be equipped by Isaac, Felix, Garet, Sheba, Mia, and Piers. Its buy value is 8000 coins and its sell value is 6000.

The Comet Mace increases the wielder's attack by 105. The Comet Mace's Unleash effect is Ice Crush, which is effectively a standard physical attack that adds 34 damage points and then modifies the resulting damage based on the user's Mercury power and the target's Mercury resistance. Ice Crush may also lower the target's Defense rating by 25%. Ice Crush visually resembles the user attacking the target and a large mass of ice smashing into the target in tandem. Though stronger than most weapons available so early, the Comet Mace suffers from being inferior to several other weapons available at the same time, including the Blessed Mace and Hagbone Mace. Furthermore, it suffers from the issue all weapons available at the start of the Eastern Sea (and indeed, most weapons in The Lost Age) have of being obsoleted extremely quickly by better weapons acquired in the various dungeons. As such, it is typically not worth spending a rare Star Dust to acquire a Comet Mace.
