A Frost Wand is a Staff-class weapon found in Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold as an Artifact in the weapon vendor at Kalay in the first game and at Kibombo in the second. Being a Staff, it can be equipped by Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba. Its buy value is 5400 coins and its sell value is 4050.
The Frost Wand increases the wielder's attack by 76, and it is noteworthy for being a pure-element weapon in that standard attacks with this weapon are affected by the user's Mercury Power and the target's Mercury Resistance (this is in fact the only Mercury based pure-element weapon in either game). Its Unleash effect is Frost Bite, which is effectively a standard physical attack that adds 28 damage points and then applies Mercury power and resistance as before. It may also inflict Stun on the target. Frost Bite visually resembles the user attacking the target and an array of icy shrapnel appearing from outside to gather into the target.
