Kibombo Mountains
From Golden Sun Universe
The Kibombo Mountains are located on the continent of Gondowan and are a unique dungeon found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. They are unique because they are the only dungeon in The Lost Age that requires stealth, and the second dungeon in the series overall to include stealth, the other dungeon being Lunpa Fortress. They must be passed through in order to reach Piers and progress the story.

[edit] Story
Normally the passage is unguarded but with the multiple failures of Akafubu at appeasing the Great Gabomba at the settlement of Kibombo up north, he resorted to attacking Madra and stealing Piers' Black Orb. He has posted guards in the Kibombo Mountains out of fear of retaliation.
When Piers arrives through here in pursuit of his stolen orb, he is able to knock out a few guards at the entrance and sneak his way through the rest of the mountains, causing the Kibombo to be all the more paranoid and strengthen their security. It is this obstacle course that Felix and his party of Jenna, Sheba, and Kraden must stealthily navigate in their subsequent chase after Piers. They eventually succeed as well.
While Felix's party is in Kibombo, Isaac's party supposedly comes here too, also in search of Piers. But they are unable to bypass the Kibombo security like the previous groups and are ultimately turned back.
[edit] Description and Walkthrough
Because of the guards players must approach this dungeon differently. There are 5 guards to sneak past and one guard dog, if you get spotted you are removed from the dungeon.
[edit] The First Guard
To the right of the two torches surrounding a set of stairs, there are two crates that need to be pushed near each other. This lets you jump across the ravine that was there before. Jump across and then follow the trail that it leads to.
[edit] The Second Guard
Eventually you will come to a crate with a guard on the other side. Push the crate past the ivy and to the right. Climb up the ivy. and follow the path. On the other side is a rope, a cliff to slide down, and another crate next to that. If you wish to get the Disk Axe slide down and go to the right and follow the path up to the treasure chest. Do not go down the stairs. Push the crate to block the guards view again.
[edit] The Third Guard
After claiming the Disk Axe and pushing the other crate and climbing up the ivy to the right there is a rope. Use Lash on it and climb across to avoid the gaze of this guard.
[edit] The Fourth Guard
After passing the third guard immediately head north and climb up the ivy. There are two options to sneaking past this guard. The first is to jump through the tree's. If you do this you will not get the Power Bread which is inside the chest next to him. To get the Power Bread push the crate to the area above where he stops during his pacing. When he is directly under it push the crate off the ledge on top of him. Like all puzzles in Golden Sun, exiting the area re-starts the puzzle.
[edit] The Guard Dog
As with the fourth guard there are two ways to deal with the guard dog, one yielding a chest and one that is easier but prevents you from gaining the Tear Stone inside the chest. In order to get the chest you must have gotten the Tremor Bit from the Madra Catacombs. If you have it then head north and look for the crate with the bone on it. Use Tremor on it to knock the bone down and divert all of the dog's attention to the newly found bone. With the dog's threat effectively neutralized, you can open the chest without fear of being found. If you do not have the Tremor Bit then climb up to the cliff with the brown rock above the dog and wait for him to walk into the area with the chest. When he does, push the rock down to block him in. This will allow you to get to the next area freely.
[edit] The Fifth and Final Guard
After getting past the dog head east and use Whirlwind on the vines on the wall in the north-east. This will reveal a passage that will bring you to a path above the fifth guard and to the exit.
