The Meditation Rod is a Staff-class weapon found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is found in a treasure chest in Jupiter Lighthouse, in a large room featuring lots of elevated platforms to hop across. Being a Staff, it can be equipped by Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba. Its buy value is 13400 coins and its sell value is 10050. Its unleash is a reference to the Buddhist concept of enlightenment (no relevance to the band of the same name).

The Meditation Rod increases the wielder's base Attack rating by 150. Its Unleash effect is Nirvana, which is effectively a standard physical attack that adds 50 damage points and then modifies the resulting damage based on the user's Jupiter power and the target's Jupiter resistance. It may also add 10% of the damage done to the user's own PP meter. It is usually is a good weapon for Ivan or Sheba, since they have high Jupiter power to back up nirvana, and they are psynergy users by nature, so the extra PP is always welcome. Nirvana visually resembles an intersecting pair of rotating rings of purple energy exiting the target and entering the user. Because of its location in the Jupiter Lighthouse, casual players will most likely find it without going out of their way. Thus, it frequently ends up in the possession of Sheba at the end of the game.
