A Mighty Axe is an Axe found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is one of the prizes that can be won in the Lucky Medal Fountain in Lemuria. It can be bought for 11900 coins and sold for 8925 coins. Being an Axe, it can be equipped by Isaac, Felix, Garet, and Piers. It increases the wielder's attack by 142.
The Mighty Axe's Unleash attack is Heat Shatter (called "Heat Smash" in battle). Heat Shatter converts all damage to Mars damage and attacks with an additional 41 attack points. Also, it may lower the target's elemental resistance by 40 (it can then be lowered further, to a total of 80). Visually, Heat Shatter resembles a normal attack with a red shockwave released on impact, followed by a transparent purple shield breaking in front of the target (whether or not the target's resistance has fallen).
The Mighty Axe is almost as powerful as the Hestia Blade, the strongest weapon available from the spring. Although the Hestia Blade is technically more powerful, the Mighty Axe can be considered just slightly more valuable since it can lower the target's resistance, thereby allowing them to take more damage later. Regardless, a stronger weapon doesn't appear until Jupiter Lighthouse, meaning both weapons will likely see quite a bit of use.
