A One-Piece Dress (One-Piece in the Japanese version) is the first Robe-class bodywear available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold in armor vendors at Vale in Golden Sun and at Daila in The Lost Age. This Robe can only be equipped on female mage-style Adepts, namely Mia in the first game and Jenna and Sheba in the second, and the One-Piece Dress is the initial equipment of Jenna in both the second game and her brief appearance as a guest character in the first. It increases the equipped Adept's base Defense rating by 4 points. Its buy value is 25 coins and its sell value is 18 coins.
In Golden Sun, a One-Piece Dress is not at all an armor to buy, since the only Adept who can equip it at the first town of Vale, Jenna, starts out equipped with one already. The One-Piece Dress is much more like an armor to sell, because the stronger Travel Vests can be bought as replacements for Isaac and Garet's Cotton Shirts in addition to Jenna's dress. Since Jenna will only be in your party for a very short time and will be leaving at the end of the upcoming Sol Sanctum dungeon filled with weak and easy monsters, it might be a waste to buy a Travel Vest for her.
In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Jenna starts out in your new party equipped with a One-Piece Dress as well. Since she's a permanent part of your party, it WOULD only be sound to replace her dress with a Travel Vest bought at the shop in the game's first town of Daila. Since Sheba is equipped with a Travel Vest already, there would obviously be no merit in equipping her with a weaker One-Piece Dress.
