Ovens in the first and second game are a highly amusing, though also sometimes rather helpful, in game object that can be interacted with. In the first game, looking in ovens will very rarely give rare items, namely Lucky Peppers. However, they are not much use and offer little entertainment. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, however, they are highly amusing, and looking inside will show a variety of funny things, varying from Felix commenting on the dish being prepared, which sometimes makes him feel hungry, though more often a professional opinion on the dish itself. For example, Felix once notes that one dish is full of tomatoes, and once he wishes for bread and cheese.

Ovens are one of the few in game items that serve very little purpose, the other being Wells.
