Fume, Serpent Fume, and Dragon Fume are a series of Mars attack Psynergy featured in The Lost Age and Dark Dawn. Like Heat Wave and Liquifier, it is practical in doing superior damage to single targets but it is not considered an Elemental Physical attack. It is available only to the Flame User Class series and Pirate Class series. Hence, Jenna in Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Eoleo in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn are the only two Adepts to whom the Fume Series is available to.

Psynergy spellsEdit

Fume: TLA: “Attack with a plume of flames.”; DD: "Strike with a plume of flames." This costs 6 Psynergy Points, has a base power of 50, and has a range of one target. A moderately large serpentine entity of flame is shot out of the user and arcs over to crash into the target in an explosion. It is available at level 5.

Serpent Fume: TLA: “Attack with a plume of flames.”; DD: "Strike with writhing serpents of fire." This costs 14 Psynergy Points, has a base power of 130, and has a range of one target. A large serpentine entity of flame is shot out of the user and arcs over to crash into the target in an explosion. It is available at level 26.

Dragon Fume: TLA: “Attack with a plume of flames.”; DD: "Strike with a fiery dragon spirit." This costs 35 Psynergy Points, has a base power of 230, and has a range of one target. A gigantic serpentine entity of flame is shot out of the user and arcs over to crash into the target in a massive explosion. It is available at level 47. In The Lost Age, this move has the highest base damage of any usable Psynergy in the game.

AnalysisEdit

Fume is available to the level 5 Jenna at the prologue of The Lost Age, where it is an ideal weapon to defeat the Ruffians one-by-one. All three Psynergies are very powerful and practical as they are acquired. Serpent Fume, in particular, is excellent as an offensive measure in the boss fight against Poseidon, so it is extremely prudent to level up the party to level 26 before attempting Poseidon.

Dragon Fume isn't particularly useful as physical attacks are much stronger than power-based spells from about level 40 on.
