A Silk Robe is a Robe-class bodywear available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold in armor vendors at Xian and Altin in Golden Sun and at Naribwe and Kibombo in The Lost Age. Being a Robe-class piece of body protection, a Silk Robe can be equipped on mage-style Adepts, namely Ivan and Mia in the first game, along with Jenna and Sheba in the second. It increases the equipped Adept's base Defense rating by 20 points. Its buy value is 1400 coins and its sell value is 1050 coins.

In Golden Sun when Silk Robes can first be bought in Xian, it is rarely a good thing to buy because it is only a few defense points higher than what Ivan and Mia might already be wearing, Adept's Clothes (as well as the Fur Coat, possibly). The fact Adept's Clothes have a slight increase in PP makes it equal to, if not outright better than, Silk Robes. If there is to be any body armor-buying at Xian, it can only be with the Robe artifact sold at Xian, the China Dress, which has a Use effect.

In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Silk Robes run into much the same problems as in the previous game; Your two mage-style Adepts Jenna and Sheba will most likely both be equipped with nothing lower than Adept's Clothes, and it is possible one of them will be equipped with the Full Metal Vest while Felix is equipped with a Psynergy Armor. Buying a Silk Robe would essentially be a waste of 1400 coins.
