A Silver Armlet is a Bracelet-class arm equipment available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold in armor vendors at Lunpa in Golden Sun and at Champa and Contigo in The Lost Age. This bracelet can be equipped on all mage-style Adepts in both games, namely Ivan and Mia in the first game, together with Jenna and Sheba in the second. It increases the equipped Adept's base Defense rating by 30 points. Its buy value is 4000 coins and its sell value is 3000 coins.
In Golden Sun when the Silver Armlet is first buyable in Lunpa after completing the optional Lunpa Fortress event, it is an incremental defensive boost over the Heavy Armlets and Guardian Armlets Ivan and Mia might be equipped with, but what makes it not a good thing to buy in the grand scheme of things is that the two best Armlet artifacts in the game, the Virtuous Armlet and the Spirit Armlet, are found in a chest early in Suhalla Desert and bought as an Artifact in Lalivero, respectively, and both these things would happen to the player shortly after leaving Lunpa to resume the main quest.
In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Silver Armlets can first be bought in Champa, meaning they are available to buy as soon as you get the Lemurian Ship to sail the Great Eastern Sea with. While it wouldn't replace the Bone Armlet one of your Adepts might have found in Gabomba Statue (it has the exact same defense rating) be wearing, it would be a good upgrade for an Adept equipped with an Armlet or below, but it is pretty easy to get a superior (and cheaper) Clear Bracelet for having Sunshine the blacksmith in Yallam forge the Tear Stones you can collect during your exploration of the Great Eastern Sea, so you might want to hold off on buying a Silver Circlet for that reason.
